If you own a business, an email list is an invaluable tool that can help you earn income over and over again.

Once you get people to sign up for your email list, you can use those contacts to promote new products, announce a new blog post, or offer discounts and special pricing.

So if you haven’t already begun building your list, now’s probably the time.

1. Constant Contact

What makes Constant Contact a great option for email marketing?

Well, for starters, they’ve got a HUGE selection of great templates that you can use for your business emails.

Another great thing about Constant Contact is that they make it easier to create branded emails that help you sell your products and/or services efficiently.

I personally use Constant Contact for my email list and I find it easy to find what you’re looking for. I’ve created landing pages and email marketing campaigns within the platform and everything’s really self-explanatory. (Update: I no longer use Constant Contact. I switched to ConvertKit.)

The only thing I don’t like about Constant Contact is that with the plan I have, you can’t add subscribers from one list to another. For instance, if someone signs up for your general email list, but you want to send them a segmented list of emails, you won’t be able to unless you upgrade, which can be difficult for small business owners getting started that might be on tighter budgets.

2. ConvertKit

A lot of people I know personally are using ConvertKit to start and manage their email lists. ConvertKit is a great email marketing tool for a few reasons.

One, it’s designed for bloggers and e-commerce marketers so if you fall into one of those categories, ConvertKit could be a great fit for you. It offers segmentation and form-building capabilities to help you get your email list started pretty quickly.

I use ConvertKit for my business and so does my sister – and she swears by it. She’s always telling me that ConvertKit is great for small business owners because you get the most bang for your buck. Convert Kit wasn’t for me the first time I tried it, but I had a better experience the second time around. Try it out and see if you like it.

3. AWeber

AWeber is another great option because the site promises that its software will do 90 percent of the work for you. With a drag and drop email and landing page designer, prebuilt template library, campaign automations, and AMP for email, you can’t deny that AWeber’s offerings have got teeth.

There’s a lot to love about it (including the 24/7 support) and migrating your current account is easy, fast, and free. So if you’re thinking of switching, you should be able to get yourself set up pretty quickly.

Try AWeber and see if it’s the right fit for you.

4. HubSpot

HubSpot’s email marketing software comes with amazing features that let you create, personalize and optimize your marketing emails. Their site claims you can boost email open and clickthrough rates and maximize engagement with emails automatically tailored to each recipient.

HubSpot allows you to design beautiful emails that display perfectly across any device. HubSpot also has A/B testing and analytics so you can see what you’re doing right and what you might be doing wrong. One thing I like about HubSpot that makes it stand out above most of the rest is that you can can an all-in-one marketing software that helps with blogging, landing pages, email, marketing automation, lead management, analytics, partitioning, social media, SEO, Ads, and calls to action.

5. Sendible

Like HubSpot, Sendible also offers analytics that can give you insights into your social data. With Sendible’s software, you can plan your content and strategy in one place, as well as monitor your brand mentions and increase online engagement. Reviews state that the platform is easy to use and has quick posting features. It’s been touted as one of the best platforms out there and as one of the best to view and keep scheduled posts up pretty easily.

Which Email Platform is Right for You?

Based on what you learned about these top five email marketing platforms, you should be able to make a decision about which one is right for you and your business. If not, try each one out using a free trial and decide then what works best for you. Whether you choose Constant Contact, ConvertKit, AWeber, HubSpot, or Sendible, you’ll have the tools you need to grow your email list quickly and efficiently.
